Methods of sex selection of births

In some countries as China, India, and South Korea it is allowed to check the sex of fetuses and then abort if it's not what parents are waiting for.

Some more sophisticated and expensive methods involving in vitro fertilization, drugs to stimulate the mother’s ovaries, and surgery, allow parents to know what will be the gender of their child before the woman even becomes pregnant, but these processes price is around $20000 in America and around $5000 in Thailand, so this method clearly is only available to the richest.

And some worldwide experts said that it is unethical for physicians to help parents select their child's sex if it is not based on potential for sex-linked genetic disorders, but solely on family balancing of personal preferences. Read more »

Women prefer mobile phones and clothes to sex

We already knew that women prefer mobiles to sex, but it now seem that women also prefer clothes than intercourse.

No more sex toys in America

It will soon be difficult to find sex toys and vibrators in America, at least in the state of Alabama.

A federal appeals court just said that the state's ban on sex toys is constitutional, meaning that it won't be possible to sell sex toys in the Alabama state any more.

But the adult items won't disappear immediately, because the state attorney general's office has agreed not to enforce the law pending further appeals.

Officials want to ban sex toy sales in the interest of preserving public morality, and the risk is that this kind of ruling spread through the whole country, as anti abortion law spread before. Read more »
